Purpose

Battery system is located at a substation to verify operational performance.

Support Services

NEDO and Sumitomo Electric, with cooperation from San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E), a major local power company, are operating a 2 MW/8 MWh RF battery installed at a substation in an electricity distribution grid.
