We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center for hosting a tour for NEDO Silicon Valley members. Learning about the transformation of secondary-treated wastewater from the San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility into water of drinking quality was fascinating.
Members were given comprehensive introduction to the significance of discovering sustainable methods to fulfill water demands while safeguarding our natural resources. The session also explored concepts for upcoming initiatives. We then had the opportunity to take a tour to see and understand the process of microfiltration, reverse osmosis, ultraviolet light and advanced oxidation.
Thank you to the SVAWPC team for answering all of NEDO members' questions. The purified water (bottled in Orange County) tasted refreshing and perfect!
