Startups play an important role in generating new technologies and fostering innovation. To achieve this goal, it is essential for startups to understand how to protect their valuable intellectual property (IP) and partner with other companies to grow their business. To highlight the importance of IP and contracts for startups, we presented two webinar sessions focusing on “Best Practices for Startups” led by our distinguished speaker, David R. Stevens.
The first session, held on December 13, focused on how to collaborate effectively with outside counsel in the US, particularly when startups begin filing patents. David covered key topics, including IP strategy, the importance of filing patents, preparing to meet counsel, and insights into budgeting and timelines for obtaining patents.
The second session, held on January 16, addressed important considerations for startups when working with larger corporations. David discussed various types of contracts commonly encountered by startups, emphasizing that contracts do not follow a one-size-fits-all format. Instead, they should be structured according to the specific purpose and goals of the agreement.
Through these seminars, attendees gained valuable insights and practical knowledge essential for the growth and success of startups.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our exceptional speaker and extend warm thanks to all attendees.

We look forward to welcoming you to our next event!
