Intellectual property (IP) plays a crucial role in protecting a company’s business, generating revenue for future R&D, and fostering open innovation through collaboration and partnerships. As technological and economic landscapes continue to evolve, IP strategies are becoming increasingly creative and diverse. While there is no universal approach to IP, we can gain meaningful insights by learning from one another’s experiences.
To leverage this opportunity, we organized an CHIZAI (IP) seminar featuring four distinguished speakers from the US, Japan, and Singapore. They shared their invaluable insights on the evolving IP landscape.
The seminar began with a keynote presentation by Michael Pierantozzi, titled “Creating Value through Innovation and IP: Insights from Silicon Valley.” He highlighted the critical alignment between IP and business strategy, emphasizing the role of cross-functional collaboration in ensuring that innovation drives sustainable growth.
The second part of the seminar featured a dynamic panel discussion. Michael was joined by Naoko Sakuma and Nobuo Tanaka, who shared their perspectives as leaders of multinational corporations, along with Jason Loh, who brought his experience as an investor and facilitator connecting large corporations with startups. The discussion explored a wide range of topics, including IP strategies, challenges, opportunities for new collaborations and partnerships, and the evolving role and future direction of IP departments.
This seminar offered an opportunity to gain diverse perspectives. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our exceptional speakers for sharing their expertise and to all attendees for their active participation.
We look forward to welcoming you to our next event!
